Anyways here is how it went. I got there a little early and had no idea what I was doing. I walked in and a little Vietnamese man told me to pick out a color for my nails. As I went to the wall all I could think about was "oh my gosh I am indecisive and this is ridiculous to over get all hyped up about finger paint." Don't go to a nail salon unless you know what you want.
After selecting a color the little man told me to sit down and soak my cuticles. I didn't want to because I was going to wait for Heidi, but this guy was consistent. Instead of arguing I just sat down and stuck my hands in some warm water and stared out the window. Within seconds Heidi came. Honestly as I was sitting there I felt so awkward… I like I couldn't talk to her because this little man was concentrating on my nails and the NBA game.
We both don't wear finger nail polish on our nails, so we decided to go French. I really wanted to make a wise crack about the white color and how I could do it at home with white out. However, I refrained because I didn't know if the little man would understand and a wise crack is only said once or it is awkward.
As they were doing our nails I was fascinated because they never had an oops! I always struggle with painting and usually fly off to the side and stain my skin. This little man was a pro, yet he didn't have the nails to show for it. They were manly nails.
The pedicure was awesome. At first I wasn't too sure because I don't have soft, nice feet like a lil' lady should. They are pretty tough and rough from my running, but the lady didn't seem to care. Not only did we get a foot massage, but the chairs were INTENSE. It was a massaging chair, and honestly the people that sat in them looked hilarious because the machine was hard-core. Basically shook you to get the knots out.
The ending was the best. The little man had to put on my shoes and strap them, but I admit Heidi got the best deal EVER. She walked away with a new pair of shoes :) Bright yellow, flimsy flip-flops! Hahaha she wore closed toed shoes which is a no-no. The lady didn't want her to smudge her nails so she was given an awesome pair of flops.
Anyways I have realized I am useless when I get my nails done. I don't want to chip them so I have avoided all housework and running. Cheers for completing bucket list #87!
