Saudi Arabia Royal Camels

The royalty has hit the airwaves, and now they are coming to my backyard… literally!

My mom called today to say Kuecker Seed Farm would be raising barley for the royal family's camels.  My first words out were "OMGOODNESS KATE AND WILLIAM!!!  Wait, they have camels?"

Here's the story:
The royal family called the United States to inquire who could raise barley for their camels.  The US officials directed the Saudi Arabians to the South Dakota Wheat Commission.  (My dad served on this Governor appointed board until his death and Kuecker Seed Farm, Inc. had earned a great reputation.)  So then SDWC called Steven and asked if he would be interested.

Mission: Raise barley for the Saudi Arabia's Royal Family's camels.
Mission Accepted.

Steven agreed.  This year the royal family's camel's food will be grown in my family's backyard.  Crazy!  I asked my mom what type of money they are paying.  She could only joke and say "a royal fee."  I love how it is not just me that has these awesome encounters.. it runs in the family :)
