Happy Holidays from the K's!

Nothing beats home during the holidays.  My mom hosted the extended family this Christmas and I loved it simply because I love it when she decorates and it means that I get to immediately change out of my muffin-topping pants into sweats when people leave.  Here are some shots throughout the day… next year I have to take a picture of the G-ma making her famous lutefisk and the epic spoon battle between the K-siblings.
When Evan and I start having a family there are just certain traditions I want to carry on.  The first is to  cross-stitch a stocking with their names on it.  I loved looking at the personalized stockings growing up and thinking how special it was.  Also, we received and still receive oranges in our stockings from Santa.  This year Bennett thought they were little basketballs and 'tenderized' the oranges :)
Also, another tradition growing up was picking out a Hallmark ornament that symbolized a moment, activity, or adventure from that year.  Us, K-Kids would each get one and it was a huge deal finding the right spot to place it.  Evan and I have been doing this since year one of dating, and are excited to pass this onto our children someday! Another cool tradition was that Grandparents K gave a silver bell each year that was color coded by mom (mine was blue ribbon).  We received these for 18 years as well, so you can imagine how full our Christmas tree is at home!
We absolutely adore my niece and nephew on the K-side!  This kid can melt your heart, but don't turn your back too quick because he is a sneaky bugger!
Landon and little Bennett plan an attack on the G-ma….
Landon always bugs G-ma by messing up her fluffy-white hair.  This year he held Bennett just above her head, so Bennett could do the honor.  The tradition will live on!!
They made amends with Great-G-ma giving Bennett a gift from "Santa Holmes."
Kinsey and Clarke have a special bond.  Clarke likes to bellow "Ho, Ho, HO" when she isn't looking and Kinsey runs around the corner looking for Santa.  Here she is telling Clarke the reason why she took off one sock: "crazy upstairs."
Grandma telling her grandsons how good she is a crossword puzzles!
Kinsey watching Great-Gma open up her gifts with Aunt Alyssa and Alex.
Just when he thought no one was looking….
So he turns off the lights!  Like I said, he is a sneaky little boy!
Grandma with her grandson, Steve.  I absolutely love how witty the G-ma is with her grandkids!
Three generations of the four there :)
Merry Christmas from the K-Klan!!
