Today I had a coffee date at Starbucks with my friend Stacie. Naturally as you chat you swivel your head otherwise you will be creepy and look odd for starring deeply at the person you are talking with. Anyways, as we chatted I noticed this Indian guy sitting across the coffee shop was always staring in our direction. I thought maybe he was just staring out the window behind Stacie and me. However, this was not the case because all of a sudden this is what happened.
Man: Excuse, do you come to this coffee shop a lot?
Me: No, actually this is only my second time here.
Man: Well would you like to come have coffee with me tomorrow?
** My internal thoughts: "Maybe he is a recruiter…. Maybe he needs a friend….Wait, I think he is asking me out on a date!!"
Me: Um, no I would not like to have coffee with you.
Man: Oh. Bye.
As Stacie doubles over with laughter at this point, I am in disbelief. I make a few wise cracks, finish talking and we parted ways.
I knew Evan was at supper in CA, so opted to send a fun text before I went to workout saying that "I was hot to trot and just got asked out." After the workout, I gave him a buzz and he is literally the most amazing husband. He laughed and reiterated some of the same wise cracks that are not going to be repeated. Just rest assure that no amount of money can replace my defined-jaw-goofy-helpful-loving-hubba-hubba-husband :) He's mine.
