Oh a great swimming day with Barb! We did our usually chat and was getting set to leave. I had my towel sitting on a bench below the canoe that is hanging on the wall.
I forgot the canoe was there. I clunked my forehead pretty hard on it! The lifeguards, Barb, and the old ladies heard it and LAUGHED!!! I know they meant no harm, but this was NOT a laughing matter.

When I got into the locker room I had a splitting headache and lump. I decided to visit the athletic trainers. They laughed and laughed too, and gave me a cup of frozen ice. I asked if they had anything else and they said no and that I would look really weird icing my forehead in the library; I probably should go home.
So I went to the union because I felt it is not as obvious icing my head here.
I know I look stupid. I know I sound even more stupid.
But let this advice be for all -- always have bangs to cover up any future bruises.
