In less than 12 hours I will be boarding a plane flying to San Diego, California, only to start my alternative spring break. Our ultimate destination is Tecate, Mexico.
Here is the agenda:
Sunday
Go to Casa Del Migrantes to have dinner with migrants
Stay over at the Casa Del Migrantes
Monday
Drive to the ocean and see what used to be "Friendship Park" and view the
construction os the second wall.
Lunch at the Women's Cooperative in the Dump and dry wall a house
Visit the "Just Coffee" cooperative roasting facility
Have ice cream at a shop near by
View the memorial crosses on the wall
Stay at the Rancho San Juan Bosco Orphanage
We'll stay at the orphanage for 4 nights..... but while there we will tour:
A pottery factory
Bakery
Miracle Ranch Orphanage
Visit a convent
Possibly tour the Tacate Beer Factory
Zocolo
Shop at a local grocery store
Play with the kids at the orphanage
