Graduation

This weekend Alyssa graduated SDSU with her undergraduate degree in marketing.  She is pretty fantastic with her skills, so you should hire her for this alone.  However, she does bring to the table a witty humor, determination, and the ability to sing.  What more could you want?!

I also walked during the master's ceremony.  First and foremost, thank you to my Webster and Aberdeen family for coming to watch me trot across the stage.  I loved it!  However, I am pretty sure that my niece stole my heart when Steve told her to yell at me during the ceremony and I could hear - "Hi Emily! Hi Emily!"  Best. Sound. Ever.

Here are the top stories of the weekend.

During the undergraduate ceremony I changed into my master's attire and was going to take pictures with Alyssa.  As I was walking a gentleman stopped me and asked me if I was the Representative that sat up in front.  At first I was confused, because the only Representative that was at the ceremony was Kristi Noem and she had SUPER short hair.  However, I realized that he really thought I was Kristi Noem and he was a lobbyist.  Special moment because I felt like a celebrity.

The next one happened when we were downtown with our friends.  A guy asked me what my name was and I simply replied Emily.  He than asked what my last name was and I decided to try my new married name so I said Jones.  He told me that was not my name because it was too common.  It was like John Smith.  I will have to look into identity theft insurance.
