Spreading my experiences to educate you from my kitchen to yours...
1.) When a recipe calls for butter (softened), do not put it in the microwave for 1 full minute.
2.) If you do create butter liquid, do not add it to your mixture.
3.) If you do add the butter liquid to your mixture, do not believe that more sugar or flour will 'fluff' it up.
4.) If you do continue adding more sugar and/or flour to the butter liquid, do not believe that putting it in the refrigerator will 'stiffen' it up.
5.) If you do put the sugar/flour/butter liquid in the refrigerator, do not believe it will taste better in the morning.
6.) If you do taste it in the morning, do not take a huge spoonful because it will make you gag and feel sick.
