Hand-written w/ love

As I embark on my career journey, I have come to realize that writing a thank you note should not take five minutes.  I don't really care if you are pressed for time because the reality is that if you truly want that position you will stop your crazy world for a half an hour and think.  I am not going to say that somedays I would love to comp out and not, or save an already thank you note and than just copy it.

No, don't do that kids!

Think about why you want it.  Reflect on what was expressed in the interview and the interviewer's personality.  Write a rough draft so there aren't grammar errors. DUH!  Seriously, don't start it off as "Thank you very much for giving me the chance to interview for…"  How original, lies.  Those people took time out of their day to give you a chance, so take time out of your day to give them a proper thank you.  I can remember and have saved all those thank you notes from weddings, showers, birthday presents, and jobs well done.  A hand-written thank you, I believe is one of the most sincere thank you gestures.

This being said I am honestly sitting in DT Brookings writing four thank you notes on Friday night.  DT Cottonwood.  I may be lame, but I sincerely want these to be special.  I guess I care a little more about this position than I realized.  I was afraid to admit anything on here for the sheer fact that I may not receive the position.  I was the youngest applying with the least 'years' experience.  Yet, I held my own with my crazy Canaries, SDSU athletics, and all my smaller experiences.  Just let me reassure you that this is a pretty phenomenal opportunity to just interview for it, and I a one-on-one tour on Wednesday!

Prayers for the job are welcome :)
