On Thursday I helped Nate and Steph spray paint the Jackrabbit logo.
Fishbach Soccer Field for SDSU's exhibition opener against the Nebraska Cornhuskers. I had never seen it done, so I didn't realize how intense yet simple it is.
First we laid out a MASSIVE plastic tarp and staked it. The tarp had a bunch of holes in it, which was the outline of Jack Rabbit. Taking white spray cans we squirted a little in each hole. I helped with this part. Then it was time to connect the dots… FLASHBACK!!!
My mom always try to 'guide' me in coloring the same way to make the picture look better. Sadly, things never got better.
My whole family is very artsy. My mom can draw like a professional, Alyssa has received a national award for a poster, and Landon can sketch like no other. Also, they can sing and play instruments beautiful - even my extended family.
I struggle…even with cursive writing.
So going back to painting the logo - I was not that excited to connect the dots. So I told them I was just going to hold the paper. Once the dots were connected, Nate and Steph look at the paper and than decide what to fill in the color. They did a fantastic job; meanwhile I was a pile for a solid 1.5 hours.
But honestly, who really wants to look at SDSU's mascot messed up? No one!
