Inside Water Show... Almost

Today I had to water the flower beds and pots around the administration building.  No big deal.  However, I had to drag this huge hose around the building and construction.  Everything was going well until I came to a set of pots.

There were two on the south side of a set of doors.  If you walk through the doors, then directly in front of you are a north side of doors.  It is a funny concept to try to think of but just understand there is a north and south set of doors within five feet of each other.

Anyways, there was another set of pots on the north side.  Instead of hauling the hose all the way around the building I thought why not just leave the hose attached and string it through the administration building.  So I shut off the water and strung it through.  I stood there and pondered if this was a "Emily, don't you think?" moment.  After a few minutes of staring at my idea I weighed out the pros and cons.

Pro
1.) I would not have to carry a 5 gallon bucket of water around this building.
2.) So much quicker.
3.) It would make for a great story.

Con
1.) The hose may not be attached that tight and water could sprinkle everywhere in this hall way in administration where the head people work.
2.) I could not hide this mess up.
3.) I could potentially be finished 2 weeks earlier (This could be a pro too..).

Just as I was making my decision to NOT do it, an administrator walked into the hallway.  Stopped, surveyed the situation, and shook her head.

I had been caught red handed.  I quickly threw the hose in the back of the truck and took out the bucket.  I watered the old fashion way, but did spill some water in the doorway.  I didn't wipe it up because it will evaporate.  Take geography 101... you will learn all about this process :)  If the lady does return though and see the puddles I am sure my boss will receive a call.  My response when he questions me will be... "well that is an absurd idea!  why would I want to water the inside of the building?!"

So lesson learned.... do not run a watering hose through a building to water things.
