I did a presenation on my conflict management 25 page paper on Tuesday. This presentation lasted about 15-20 minutes, but only because I'm a communication major. I gained the ability to talk for however long, on whatever subject and make complete sense. However, sometimes my responses are too honest. Here is what happened after my presentation in the question and answer section.
Teacher: Okay how do you propose to resolve the conflict between the Silent Generation and Generation Y?
Me: (pause because I didn't have an answer) Well, honestly I do not foresee a resolution occurring because both sides are pretty stuck in their ways. However, I do see one surefired way.... ** I point to my picture behind me of my Gma and myself while talking.** The Silent Generation will eventually die out, which means no more conflict!
Class & Teacher: ** dead silence for about 5 seconds than abrupts in laughter **
Me: Um, okay that's embarrassing... I think I am done with this question answer session!
Again, I do not think before I speak. Admit it though, I do make a very valid point!
